The store is on the corner of Congress Street and Maplewood Avenue and has an entrance directly from the municipal parking lot. Its location is convenient by car or walking from anywhere in downtown Portsmouth.

In addition to their extensive lines of health foods, organic produce, bulk goods, vitamins, healthy cosmetics and skin care products, Madeline's Kitchen is a great place to get a quick, tasty and healthy lunch. In season they get food from local farmers.

Owner and founder Scott Nelson is often in the store, and Craig and Kim can also help with information on supplements, food allergies and other questions. It's a relaxed, pleasant place with helpful and attentive service.
