Long Loaves are a basic shape for most Borealis Breads.
These loaves are 10-12 inches long and weigh about 20
ounces. Most, but not all, varieties come as long loaves.
Round, or Boule, Loaves are used with some varieties. They also weigh 20
ounces. The difference between a round and a long loaf is a matter of
appearance and personal taste.
Deli Loaves are mostly used for food service. The Deli loaf is about 16
inches long and is bigger around than the long loaf. They are usually sold
sliced. They weigh 40 ounces and contain 24 sandwich-size slices plus ends.
All Borealis varieties come in deli loaves.
Sandwich Loaves are packaged for retail sale only, in labeled bags. They are
half of a deli loaf, weigh 20 ounces and have 12 sandwich-size slices.
Long and Round Loaves can be delivered either without packaging or bagged and labeled. Please specify which you would prefer.
